Oahu, also called “The Gathering Place” by the locals, is sometimes recognized as the center of Hawaii.

In fact, people depart from Oahu to visit the islands nearby.
Airlines such as All Nippon Airways, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, China Airlines, and Korean Air,Philippine Airlines, carry passengers from Asia to Honolulu. It’s a 30-minute drive from Honolulu International Airport to Waikiki city center,

which is famous for shopping, fine-dining, and having both high-rises and resort hotels.
The neighborhood extends from the Ala Wai Canal on the west and north, to Diamond Head on the east. Pearl Harbor is located just north of Honolulu Airport; further north lays Mount Tantalus where beautiful views of the city can be enjoyed.

All of these great places are easily accessible by bus or by car. If the main purpose of the trip is to go scuba diving, or to bathe in sunshine-filled beaches, then one must visit Hanauma Bay and Kailua Beach; North Shore is famous for surfing as well. Traveling by bus is a good way to get around because it costs less than renting a car; however, it is also more time-consuming. Book early with tour groups to save time and trouble.
