The island of Maui is the second-largest of the Hawaiian Islands.

Maui was originally two separate islands, and later Haleakala volcanic eruptions those two islands connected together by the lava, for now the area of Maui is about 1880 square kilometers.
Because of the topography, also called “The Valley Isle”.
Maui is at the southeast side of the Oahu. From Honolulu to Kahului Airport by domestic line it takes about 30 minutes.
For most visitors, the most attractive place in Maui is whale watching.
Whenever the winter, humpback whales will migrate to Maui neighboring for childbirth, so winter is the season for whale watching.
Wailea Beach and the Molokini island is the popular places for snorkeling.
Also there is very suitable for all types of water sports, snorkeling and surfing are the most popular activities.
However compared to Oahu, travelers from Asia less, so the local guides with knew Asian languages were less. So you may to know a little bit English would be better.
